Steps to Record Video

Once you get the link (something like https://www.capricorn.cash/op/record-video/?p=<sample_code>) follow the procedure mentioned below to start the recording:

1. Open the link by clicking on it.

2. When the page is open you will find instructions followed by a prompt message on the top of a small blank window where your video will appear.

** In case of PAN-based verification, please keep your original PAN card and Address proof (Aadhaar/Passport/Voter ID/Driving License (DL)) ready with you, as you need to show it on the screen, when you Record the video.

3. A Record Video Button is at the bottom of the video window. Click it to start recording.

4. A pop-up window will appear on the screen, click “allow” to grant necessary permission to Capricorn CA for using recording devices.

(** If you do not allow this on your device, it will create issues in the verification, and DSC application process might have to be started afresh again.)

5. At the countdown read the prompt message clearly in the microphone.

You can speak in ANY one Language (English or Hindi). The lines would be something like this:

** The highlighted red part would be different on your screen. The numeric code changes everytime you click on Record Video link. Read the lines once on your screen, before starting the Record Video option, so that you the video is perfect in one-go itself.

In case of PAN-based verification, after speaking the lines, please show your original PAN and Address proof (Aadhaar / Passport / Voter ID / Driving License (DL)) both side: front and back.

6. Video recording will stop after 20-25 seconds and it will be uploaded.

7. For further proceeding, inform us after the recording.

Why to Record Video ?

According to the guidelines of CCA apart from the physical verification of documents physical verification of the DSC applicant is also required. However, CCA allows an interactive video recording session with the applicant for the applicant’s convenience. In the guidelines, it is specified that a CA should make provision for a tamper proof video capture facility in CA application which should not be less than 20 seconds. CA should verify the same prior to the issuance of DSC to applicant.

To make the verification successful and smooth Capricorn CA has provided these provisions in their application:

• 1. Both users of desktop/laptop and Android devices must have working Internet Connection and Web Cam with Audio Support.

• 2. For users of desktop/laptop, any one of the latest browsers Google Chrome, Firefox, or Opera must be installed in the system (Internet Explorer does not support video recording)

• 3. For users of Android device, any one of the latest browsers Chrome, Firefox, or Opera must be installed in the system.
