e-PAN
Carrying a physical copy of your PAN card, is a little more challenging. In this circumstance, downloading an ePAN card is the most viable choice.
The online PAN card is actually a virtual PAN card that may be used for verification in the same way as a physical PAN card. It can be kept on your phone too.
If you lose your PAN card, you may apply for a new one online, and the process would only take you 10 minutes. The only condition for completing your e-KYC process is that you have your Aadhaar card.
How to download an ePAN card?
- 1. Click on the below button, which will open the income tax website department dedicated to online services.
- 2. Enter your PAN card number, Aadhaar card number, and date of birth. Tick the checkbox ‘Accept the terms and conditions‘, enter CAPTCHA, and click on Submit button.

- 3. It will fetch details from your Aadhaar number, as shown below. Select an option to get OTP on your Email or on Mobile number. Again tick the checkbox to accept the Terms and Conditions, and click on Generate OTP button.

- 4. Enter the OTP, received on your registered Email or mobile number, and press the Validate button.

- 5. A payment choice will appear, where you will be needed to pay Rs. 8.26. You may complete the payment using UPI, debit card, or credit card.
- 6. You can get your e-PAN card after the payment is completed.
** NOTE: The PAN card PDF file will be password secured. Your date of birth will serve as the password.
